Martin Whitfield is the Director Aerospace & Defense Aftermarket Solutions at HCL Technologies. With 30 years experiences in Aftermarket services, Digital Transformation, and Supply Chain optimization within the Aerospace and Defense industry Martin is responsible for leading digital transformation efforts with Aerospace companies in the sustainment and manufacturing domains.
Martin began his career as an Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force (UK) managing MRO operations for a number of different aircraft types including combat jet and transport aircraft. Upon leaving the military Martin became a consultant driving business value through business transformation and technology innovation, specializing in data management, predictive analytics and IoT technologies.
Martin earned a Masters of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London, he is the Chair of the Society of Aerospace Engineers (SAE) Digital Data Steering Group and is a Chartered Engineer with the Royal Aeronautical Society.
