Malissa Nesmith, Senior Director of Business Development for Kaman Composite Structures, joined Kaman in 2019. Malissa is responsible for sales, marketing and business development for Kaman Composites Wichita and Kaman Composites Vermont.

After starting her aerospace career at Raytheon Aircraft Company, Malissa was co-owner of an aviation parts distribution company and helped originate two FAA Part 145 Repair Stations and an AS9100 accredited CNC machine shop before transitioning into composite manufacturing.

Malissa has been on the board of directors for a number of industry organizations, such as ADMA and GAMA and is a member of the NBAA leadership council. She is also a member of the NASA Transformative Vertical Flight Work Group and also enjoys chairing the local chapter of WALK, Women Advocating Leadership at Kaman.
